it should be fine but check with the firms there or careers office

some qualifications are accepted but they may do a test to see your competency

Are you doing a credit transfer, or is your concern on where you graduate? In my opinion, I do not see any problem as many students graduate from foreign universities and the same paper is being used when they work in their home country. But for areas that are more specialised, for instance; graduating with a pscy degree from UK may not be acceptable for practice in Austrailia due to the differential in standards, and accreditials from the pscy society.

    Enjoy austrailia

You would need to study in Australia for the Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (GDLP). This is a one semester course of seven subjects which must be taken by ALL law graduates, including all Australian law graduates.

In addition, because you are a foreign law graduate, you would need to take several other courses, examples would be Constitutional Law, Coporations Law, Ethics.

The cost is around $8000 AUD for the GDLP, and probably around $2000AUD for each of the additional courses I mentioned. So, you are looking at studying for an extra year in Australia before you could be admitted as a solicitor.

    Hope this helps.
