My father is a manager. He does not recognize an undergraduate degree in anything. He does recognize a graduate degree earned online if the undergraduate degree was earned in residence.

Each employer is different and each online degree program is different with some having very good reputations and some having less than desirable reputations.

The RN to BSN is very popular and is well accepted because a student cannot earn their RN online as it can only be done in residence due to the nature of the education required. However once the RN is indeed a licensed RN and has a few years of employment an online BSN is generally well accepted.

Some online programs cost as much if not more than traditional residental programs.
