i think its because u have to understand how people will react to different things like illnesses and diseases so u kno what to say to comfort them and make the experience easier
You´re looking for something that is similar or the same for nursing and psychology, if I get your question right.
Now although it´s Wikipedia, this is a great and emcompassing definition of nursing: “Nursing is a profession focused on assisting individuals, families, and communities in attaining, maintaining, and recovering optimal health and functioning.”
Psychologists study mental processes and behaviour and apply this knowledge in practice. So, the connection to nursing is definitely the idea of assisting individuals (also within a community) – as psychology attempts to understand the role human behavior plays in social dynamics. Psychology however, focuses on mental states (which might of course have an influence on physical health) and is way more of an academic discipline than nursing. But you were asking for connections, not differences.
