I want to be a professor of psychology one day. Is a doctorate in clinical psychology enough or do I need to take education courses?

You’d need at least a masters to teach at the 2-year college level, and a PhD to teach at the 4-year college or university level. You only need a degree in your subject; no education classes or certification are necessary. However, it helps a lot if you can get some teaching experience while in graduate school. Here’s a site that lists current faculty openings – look up psychology and see what they expect from applicants. http://www.higheredjobs.com
