Can I be a real estate agent with a degree in interior design, and work with a contractor to design then sell?

I would like to major in Interior design, maybe become a real estate agent and work with a contractor to design his houses and then sell them for him.
To be a Realtor, you’ll need to attend training and be licenced. As for home designing, you can try getting a job in an interior designing house. Generally, developers would prefer to work with interior designing houses for their new homes and do not require the services of a Realtor to market their homes. In short, you can only be either one.
A lot of home builders are getting more full service in that way. Although if you do one area as design, it will be hard to do the other sales at the same time. They are both very time consuming jobs. They will make huge demands from you that would cause you to lose your focus and then you wouldn’t be able to do either well. Go talk to one of these developers and find out what areas they offer that may interest you, it may help you make a wiser choice. Good Luck
