Awesome! I want to change careers from Computer Aided Drafting to “Web Design”. I’ve decided to learn the intro classes to Web Design on my own with the online resources. Then I might be able to test out of some of the classes and save money. I also will be able to enter college with a better knowledge and hit the ground running.
computer engineering technology, i was in the military my tuition will be paid in full,so i don’t really mind that this school is expensive. what are you majoring in?
Good for you. What field??
@JayZoop im starting thi march 2010 NY!!
What I’m saying is, “How can you trust someones perseption of Devry when they can only get a job at McDonald’s?” Obviously they are too lazy to apply themselves so they say “Screw It, I’m getting a job at McDonald’s.”
@JayZoop
did you read my previous comment backwards or something you intelligent cunt.
First hand proof of what a Devry Education can do for you.
9inch… How is saying that somebody who works at McDonald’s has the intelligence and the drive to even get a good job anywhere?? You pretty much answered your own question.
Devry is north central regionally accredited, and has a good reputation in the real world. Only losers who tried devry and failed complain that devry sucks. Maybe you aren’t that bright? Don’t give up. You’ll make it one of these days.
I agree. The only people who constantly whine about devry are people who lack the aptitude for University life.
Your friend must be special. A high school diploma can get you a better job than mcdonalds. Some people just really suck at life I suppose.
i got a friend who graduated from this shit school and he now works at mcdonalds.
he regrets wasting money for this pathetic school.
I’m fed up with College Reviews. Every single college has countless lazy graduates who don’t apply themselves after college, and they come on the internet and complain about how they are in debt and the schools sucks. I’ve had enough. I met with Devry tonight and they have their stuff together. They don’t bullshit around. I think I’m going to apply at Devry.
FACT: DeVry is not AACSB accredited.
when I hear devry, I think of deprive.
what you mean get their GED, everybody who get GED doesn’t mean that drop out of high school. some ppl didn’t had the opportunity to go to high school, or some ppl come from other countries where they already get high school diploma but since it’s not in America, they get their GED.
FACT: Devry University is accredited by the North Central Commission on Accreditation.
FACT: 96 of Fortune 100 companies hired Devry graduates from 2003 to 2008.
if you got scammed by devry and paid over 40k for a worthless “degree”, sucks to be you!
These weak colleges promise people the world. If you live in a bad economic area, such as Ohio, all a marketing degree qualifies you for is doing door-to-door sales. And it sucks. I freakin hate it. Pyramid scheme companies that insult your integrity and rip people off. Waste of a degree unless you are in the right place and right time, or know someone. Way too many “who you know” jobs out there today rather than “what you know” jobs.
fuck you ceetboy…i said i knew someone that went through it…not me…and by the way im getting my business degree as well so fuck you cocksucker…
i bet you work for devry, look at the name
i agree with you man, devry sucks balls, it for people who drop out of high school or get there ged, get a real education people!!!!!!!
ummm a degree is not just a degree. your assumption that all degrees is the same is completely ignorant and mindless.
Each degree holds different value depending of schools reputation, accreditation and prestige…and devry has none of them.
I would advise people who did not get into a REAL univerisity to go to a community college and try to transfer into a University.
I’m a DeVry grad myself. DeVry is a very good school but it really depends on how much you want out of it. As for the problems you are talking about, go to a state college and you will see real problems. The industry does take DeVry serious. The design their programs around what companies want.
I did get my Degree dumb ass from a REAL COLLEGE . . Definitely not the trash DeVry Degree you probably got >Pay for a Worthless Degree from a For Profit Only “Institute” which is what they are here in NY & not considered a real college > OTHERWISE KNOWN AS TRASH FOR CASH EDUCATION.
No surprise there. Go get a Real Degree & see the difference.
Obviously you didn’t learn how to improve your reading skills at DeVry.
