BFA-interior design, want architecture degree?

I recently completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts-interior design degree and I am interested in persuing a career in architecture. Would I be able to go for a masters of architecture or would I need another undergrad in architecture first?

  1. Andrew L says:

There are two accredited degrees in architecture, the Bachelors of Architecture (b.arch) and the Masters of Architecture (m.arch), and they are roughly equal. Both will allow you to take the ARE (Architectural Record Exam) to become licensed. In fact, many schools with b.arch and m.arch degrees run the programs concurrently.

So, no need to do a b.arch…you should go to graduate school and get an m.arch.
